3. Impressions Taken: The clinician will take your impressions*. This is typically included in the price on our website. The impressions taken are sent to our lab.

* Are Ear Impressions Included?  Yes! In most locations, the cost of ear impressions is included in the product price. In some areas, a small surcharge may apply. We have a wide network of fitting points and clinics across Australia. After placing your order, we’ll provide the details of the nearest clinic for your convenience.

4. Product Delivery: Your custom earplugs will be expertly crafted and delivered to you within 1–2 weeks.

ER-20XS earplugs come with three interchangeable pairs of ear tips (standard 3-flange, large 3- flange and foam) for more fitting options. Foam ear tips on ER20XS Universal Fit earplugs work with the advanced technology in the earplug itself, offering protection and clear communication.

ER-20XS Universal Fit Ear Plugs feature a stem-less design, with a low profile that conforms to the plane of the outer ear. This makes them particularly comfortable to wear under hats and other headgear. A small, flexible pull tab allows for easy removal.

The ER20XS is the next generation high fidelity Etyplug, reengineered to fit in an eXtra small compact form factor.

Replacement of the ER20XS ear tips

ER20XS plugs are reusable, but with repeated use, the ear tips may lose elasticity. For best performance and retention, if you use your ER-20XS earplugs constantly, consider replacing them every 3-6 months.

ER20XS earplugs feature a low-profile, stem-less design that sits snugly in the outer ear without protruding.

Technical specifications of the ER-20XS earplugs

ER 20XS earplugs use a tuned resonator and acoustic resistor to replicate the natural response of the ear canal. This unique construction, combined with Etymotic’s proprietary sound path, reduces sound levels evenly across the frequency range without changing the sound quality. Result: Music and speech remain clear, but quieter and safer.

ER-20XS provide almost equal sound reduction (20 dB) across the range of hearing. NSR (noise reduction rating) of 13 dB. Standard foam earplugs reduce sound more in the mid and high frequencies, producing an unnatural, muffled sound. ER20XS earplugs reduce sound evenly across frequencies. Speech and environmental sounds are clear, only quieter, allowing for communication and awareness of your surroundings.

Reduce the level of sound, still able to talk to people

I have ASD and need hearing protection pretty much 24/7.
These are suitable for reducing the level of sound but still being able to talk to people or for when driving and wanting to still be able to hear what is going on around me, music, or talking in the car.
When I need more sound isolation, I have a different plug that has an advertised reduction of 32db that is better suited.
A little deeper than other plugs I have tried, but not uncomfortable.
Will be using as my daily plugs.

Blown away by how comfortable and easy these are

Was shipped out to me quickly and arrived within 3 days of ordering. I didn't expect these earplugs to do much but was blown away by how comfortable and easy to use these are. I bought the extra tips just in case but the standard tips fit my ears fine.

Recommend these earplugs for any concert goer!

I went to a concert recently and only put one of the earplugs in. The sound still sounded great, but the bigger shock was at the end of the concert when I took it out. I could notice a big difference in how my ears felt. The ear with the plug in felt a lot better, and I was able to hear things clearer. Definitely recommend these earplugs for any concert goer!
