How can I use Pacific Ears Price Guarantee?

If you find an item of one of our Australian based and operated competitors having lower pricing on a particular product, please forward us the proof. Current catalogues and website listings are preferred, so we can easily check our competitors’ pricing.

For which products is Pacific Ears Price Guarantee valid?

There are many products for which the price guarantee is applicable.

Custom Fitted Pacific Ears products

For custom-fitted earpieces made from soft silicone, the requirements are:

Custom Earplugs that have at least a SNR, NRR or AS/NZS1270 certified attenuation filter for hearing protection and the attenuation level is similar to
an in-stock filter from Pacific Ears; or
Custom Earpieces with 1-way communication that have Knowles drivers and Kevlar reinforced cables; or
Are earpieces specifically manufactured for sleeping or keep the ears dry for swimming purposes (regarding the latter, with or without a filter).
The products must be readily available to the client from the competitor and pricing includes ear impressions taking, GST and delivery charges.
Pacific Ears must have own stock to price match.

For all custom-fitted devices, it is at the sole discretion of Pacific Ears to grant the price guarantee.
Clear and obvious pricing mistakes from competitors, will not be matched by Pacific Ears.

Westone Audio Products

For Westone Audio In-Ear Monitors, the requirements are:

Application is made in writing (email included).
Price matching is only applicable for universal in-ear monitors and include the MACH-series, ProX series and AMProX series.
Exact match of monitors and universal (ready-fit) options only.
The product must be readily available to the client from the competitor and pricing includes GST and delivery charges.
Pacific Ears must have own stock to price match.

For Westone Audio Accessories, the requirements are:

Application is made in writing (email included).
Price matching is only applicable for genuine Westone Audio Accessories.
Accessories are ear tips, ambient filters, in-ear monitor cables, monitor vault, monitor saver, wax loop, ear guides and clean cloth.
The product must be readily available to the client from the competitor and the pricing includes GST and delivery charges.
Pacific Ears must have own stock to price match.
For all the above-mentioned Westone Audio Products, it is at the sole discretion of Pacific Ears to grant the price guarantee.

Clear and obvious pricing mistakes, or products through parallel import (shipped from abroad) from or by competitors, will not be matched by Pacific Ears.

Etymotic Universal Earphones

For Etymotic Universal Earphones, Electronic Hearing Protection, Passive Hearing Protection and Etymotic Accessories the requirements are:

Application is made in writing (email included).
Earphones: ER2XR and SE series, ER3XR and SE series and ER4XR and SR series, and EVO 3-drivers.
Electronic Hearing Protection: GunSport Pro, GunSport Elite, MusicPro9-15, MusicPro Elite
Passive Hearing Protection: ER20, ER20XS and only on items stocked and advertised by Pacific Ears.
Etymotic accessories are filters/dampers, replacement attenuators, earphone and monitor cables, ear tips.
Only exact match of earphones, earplugs and accessories options.
Applicable to genuine Etymotic products only.
Exact same in-stock product must be readily available to the client from the competitor and pricing includes GST and delivery charges.
Pacific Ears must have own stock to price match.

For all the above-mentioned Etymotic Products, it is at the sole discretion of Pacific Ears to grant the price guarantee.

Eligibility for Pacific Ears’ Price Guarantee

Does Pacific Ears competitors’ product need to be available today?

Yes. Our Price Guarantee applies to products that our competitors (including online businesses) have readily available. Impressions taking, GST and any delivery charges will be considered so we are comparing the total price of our competitors’ product.

Can Pacific Ears competitors’ product be similar rather than the same as the product that Pacific Ears stocks?

For the Price Guarantee to apply, the custom product must be a similar product (softness silicone, filter, drivers, similar make of the cable, etc) and for the same purpose as the Pacific Ears custom product.

Regarding Westone Audio and Etymotic Products, it must be the exact same (exact match).

Exclusions from Pacific Ears’ Price Guarantee

What are the exclusions from Pacific Ears’ Price Guarantee?

On account (credit and cash) purchases from Pacific Ears and our competitors are excluded, as are special quotes issued by our competitors. Stock liquidations and the purchase of commercial quantities from our competitors are also excluded.

Special quotes are excluded from your Price Guarantee. What are special quotes?

Special quotes are quotes issued by our competitors that contain discounted or preferential pricing for an individual customer. Most commonly, special quotes are issued in relation to bulk purchases of building materials or other goods for a specific project or job.

Stock liquidations are excluded from your Price Guarantee. What are stock liquidations?

Occasionally, our competitors will decide to sell particular products at a heavily discounted price in order to clear that stock. Sometimes stock liquidations occur when a business is closing down or no longer wishes to stock a particular line of products. Regular promotions or sales of products by our competitors are not usually considered to be stock liquidations.

Commercial quantities are excluded from your Price Guarantee. What is a commercial quantity?

Pacific Ears considers commercial quantities to be quantities of a product that might be needed by more than one household.

Payment and Promotions

Can I use Pacific Ears’ Price Guarantee when paying by gift card or similar?

Yes, our Price Guarantee can be used when paying by gift card, ZIP Pay and similar methods.
Kindly note that on-account transactions (cash and credit) are excluded from our Price Guarantee.

Other

What happens if our competitors have made errors with their pricing?

Occasionally retailers make typographical mistakes with their pricing – for example, the correct price of a product may be $199, but their website says it’s $1.99. Where it’s an obvious error like that, our Price Guarantee won’t apply.
